Susan A Cooke

Susan Cooke joined the UF School of PA Studies in February 2025 as the Director of Clinical Education. She graduated cum laude from the UF Warrington College of Business MBA Program and magna cum laude from the Barry University PA Program. Susan has worked for the University of Florida for over 16years including the UF Health Jacksonville and Gainesville campuses. Her clinical focus includes congenital heart surgery, general surgery, critical care medicine and trauma. The thing Susan enjoys most at UFSPAS is working with the students!

Susan and her family reside in Jacksonville, Florida where they love to cheer on the Jaguars and Gators. She enjoys running, boating, kayaking, and all things outdoors. Susan also loves to draw/paint and has recently explored medical illustration.

Susan’s notable achievements include publishing her medical illustrations and co-developing a patented surgical retractor with the University of Florida; however, her most meaningful impact remains her dedicated care for her patients. Susan’s best accomplishments include her 3 awesome children: Jackson, Lucy and Ella “Charlie”.
