About Travis Grant
Mr. Travis Grant is an assistant professor who joined the University of Florida School of PA Studies in June 2019. He earned his Bachelor of Health Science from University of Florida in 2003 and completed his Master of Science at Baylor College of Medicine PA program in 2006.
Mr. Grant began his career in internal medicine but has spent the last approximately 10 years practicing in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings with the VA. He most recently provided mental health care to veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center where he also served as the psychiatry preceptor for the Emory University PA program.
Since his arrival to UF, Mr. Grant serves as core faculty member and his role includes supporting the clinical phase of PA student training. He has been section leader for pulmonology, urology/nephrology, and mental health medicine sections. He co-leads the program’s Behavioral and Community Medicine course where he is also a Putting Families First facilitator. In addition, he has assisted with various components of the program’s Physical Diagnosis, Medical Communications, and Differential Diagnosis courses.
Mr. Grant currently services as the faculty advisor to the UF pre-PA club on campus. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
