Faculty and Staff

The University of Florida School of Physician Assistant Studies is proud of its well-qualified faculty and its dedicated and talented staff. The faculty hail from a wide range of academic, clinical and administrative backgrounds and bring to the UF PA curriculum an expanded perspective on physician assistant education. The staff of the UF School of Physician Assistant Studies serves both faculty and students and offers a long history of administrative titles and support services that contribute to the efficient and smooth operations of the School.

Randolph B. Mahoney Program Director

Melissa Turley, PharmD, MPAS, PA-C

Melissa Turley joined the faculty in February 2019 as an Assistant Professor. She is a proud Gator alumni of the University of Florida School of Physician Assistant Studies.

Associate Program Director

Thao Jinwright, MPAS, PA-C

Thao Jinwright is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s School of Physician Assistant Studies (UF SPAS), having joined the faculty in 2020. In addition to her primary role, she currently serves as the Director of Admissions for the UF SPAS. She is a proud double Gator alumna.

Meghan Lopez

Meghan Lopez serves as Assistant Director, Accreditation and Academic Support Services.

Medical Director

Jason Fromm, MD

Jason Fromm has served as the School of Physician Assistant Studies Medical Director since 2003. He is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida, College of Medicine.
